A Change of Scenery
I seem to be doing that a lot in reality lately, and figured I'd take it over to the technology world too. I'm switching to LiVEJOURNAL, so if you wanna keep up with me and my blogging go here.
No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow...

BTI was AMAZING. Seriously. It was the greatest thing ever. There's too much to mention, so I don't even want to start. Although, I think it is worth saying, that during BTI I preached my second message. Yep, just yesterday. It was NERVE WRACKING. Bishops, Deacons, Pastors, the General Overseer, Regional Overseers, State Overseers. Bah. My poor stomach...
Now I've got six days to prepare my class for camp, and my morning devotions. Not to mention tons of other things that are on my lovely to-do list.
So much to do, so little time.

So I'm going to be incredibly busy this summer. I'll try to update you all as much as possible, but I can assure you, if you want to know what's going on with me, you're going to most likely just talk with me yourself. For instance, today I have been running around non-stop since like 11 this morning, and it is now 11 tonight. So just text me, or email me, if you wanna know what's been going down in Chinatown.
Just a rough outline of what will be going on this summer.

I've been keeping all my birthday cards for years now. I'm not sure why, but I just do. Well, I was going through my box of these cards, and I say one of the last ones that my grandmother wrote to me on my birthday and it said the following.
"As you reflect on years past,
may God bless you
with a clear vision
of all the wonderful things
your future holds."
I've been sitting here, not knowing exactly what I wish to share with you all, so I'm going to leave it at this... At the beginning of this year, everyone was all hyped up about this being the year of miracles. Well, we're about half way into this year, and I haven't lost that zeal for those miracles. Think about it. What if Brad and Beeba were healed? Talk about revival.
I really thought it was great that one of the last cards I had with her handwriting in it, said that. Because as I do reflect on the past, and think about times with her, the Lord never fails to bring to my attention that even if she is never healed in this life, if I stay true to His Word, then I will see her someday again in Glory. How awesome?

I can't get away from that Holy Ghost Message and Interpretation that came Sunday night. I don't remember it verbatim, but the gist of it is we have to have simple faith in the Lord if we expect to see the miracles, deliverance that we need to see.
Simple faith.
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord" James 1:6,7
Simple faith? Are we wavering in our faith for those miracles and healings? I know we have faith that Christ died for my sins; that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that he CAN preform these miracles, deliverences, and healings. I think for me, it's more of the lacking of faith that He WILL, right then, when we pray. I know He can, I even know He will answer our prayers... eventually. But right then, that very moment, see a miracle take place before my eyes? I have a hard time with that, not because i don' believe it can happen, because I've read about the miracles the apostles did in Acts. So I suppose it's hard for me because I've never seen it happen. But that's what faith is...
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1
God hasn't changed.
Those miracles are going to happen.
Lord, help me to have simple faith.

So two things I've learned tonight.
1) My mouth apparently gets super dry when I get nervous.
2) 8 1/2 minutes feels like a really long time to talk without anyone else talking.
Hahah.
Seriously though. I don't even want to begin to words how thankful I am.
So I'm just going to say thank you for all the prayers, because I could really feel them.
Now that the knot in my stomach has gone away and my heart is beating at a healthy pace again, I'm going to go sleep a wonderful, deep sleep. Oh boy. =)
